Stefanie Fröhling took up her duties as Deputy Permanent Representative of Germany to the OECD in August 2024.
Prior to this, she served as Head of the Division for SME Financing at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action. Earlier assignments in the ministry, which she joined in 2008, include services in the areas of digital policy and SME policy. In 2011, she gained her first experience at the OECD as part of a secondment as a policy advisor at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the OECD. Before joining the civil service, she worked as a lawyer in an internationally active commercial law firm.
Stefanie Fröhling holds two law degrees from Cologne and a Master's degree, LL.M., from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She also studied at the Centre Juridique Franco-Allemand in Saarbrücken. She speaks German, English, French and Italian.
Stefanie Fröhling is married and has two children.
