Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul is meeting his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa’ar today before travelling to the NATO Summit in Ankara. His visit to Israel takes place against the backdrop of urgent regional issues, but also of Germany’s historical responsibility for Holocaust remembrance.
The NATO Heads of State and Government will gather in Ankara on 7 and 8 July for a NATO Summit meeting. Foreign Minister Wadephul and Defence Minister Pistorius will accompany Federal Chancellor Merz to the summit. Read on to find out more about what’s on the agenda.
Foreign Minister Wadephul today (29.06.) begins his trip to North and South America. The focus will be on standing shoulder to shoulder in both political and economic terms – from the transatlantic security architecture with the United States to opportunities for growth with the Mercosur states.
